Visiting Papa at Work
Birthdays, BBQ's and a Busy Boy!!

What a whirlwind weekend for the little Theo. On Saturday, we went to celebrate Calista Catherine's 1st birthday! There were lots of other kids there but Theo only had eyes for Calista, in her frothy, pink dress and cool shoes that he tried to pry off...It's so hard to believe these kids are getting so big, so quick.
Sunday we caught up with old friends, Fabrizio, his wife Mandee and their baby boy, Lennie. He will be one next week. Fabbe has a BBQ big enough to lay a pig on, no joke. Theo loved the four dogs running all over and the parrots, the big garden and getting to play with new friends: Maya, Rio and of course, Lennie.

Toddler Exploration Class

I just signed Theo up for a great Toddler Exploration Class run by City College. It has all the stuff kids love: play-do, miniature kitchen, blocks, easels with paint...Theo had a fabulous time moving from activity to activity. He was also drawn to the big piano in the room and I tried to capture this potential early Mozart moment! Outside the classroom was this interesting post "If There Were No Black People." A cautionary tale for all with a little boy named Theo who wonders of such a fate...
Dinner with Bethany & Joe
A Day at the Park

A recent saturday found the sun shining, once again on our fair city-pushing aside the winter blues with the promise of California's early spring. Theo & Mama met the family (all except a sick Auntie Jen) at Golden Gate Park for a fun picnic by the Conservatory of Flowers. He got to spend some time with his favorite big cousin Madison who showed him how to kick a soccer ball around. He also has started saying his name which kind of sounds like EEEE-oooo. (See accompanying clip).

Science Can Be Fun!!

Theo & I made our way to the Randall Museum today which is always beautiful
when the sun is out. We had a picnic outside looking over the city and then went
in to see the frogs, lizards, bunnies & chickens..among other creepy crawly things.
Theo put on a good front-but he wasn't too sure how he felt about those birds..

Harvey comes to Haight Street

Haight Street has been abuzz with the recent addition of a huge film crew
and production grunts milling about-Gus Van Sant & Sean Penn are nowhere
to be seen-but Penn is supposed to look like Harvey Milk, not Sean Penn so....
but for the past few nights there has been a giant crane outside Theo's playroom
window with some guy so close that I could pass a cup of coffee to him if I wanted to.
I just think it's neat knowing Harvey lived two doors down from where I am now-
looking out onto this crazy part of town.
